Good morning everyone,
Today was partly cloudy to fair and it was very warm and humid ! Light to moderate N/ NE wind helped people indoors , driving around with the sun now aiming into the car more now with it lower in the sky helped our top of 28.9 c ( 29.9 c in Penrith ) feel very uncomfortable 🥵

“Good Morning Cloudwatcher and Jenny. Yes, the year so far seems to have been almost non-stop Rain. To add insult to injury it seems that the good folks living in the Eastern part of the Country had a mild and sunny day yesterday. Furthermore on another weather website that I keep an eye on, the forecast for South West England is wet for the next month! Anyone know how to build an Ark?! Have a good day, both of you”

Has clouded in somewhat recently. Not quite as peaceful as it looks with a couple of geese having a go at each other, and the occasional bang from the small arms factory behind!

Whoah! How clever is this? The Metcheck Thunderstorm Tracker Satellite allows you to see the developing storms across Western Europe and tells you whether they are growing or decaying. Every 15 minutes we take a snapshot of the cloud cover then measure the temperature and height of the clouds and show you whether the area of clouds are developing into thunderstorms and what direction they are moving in.

You probably hear a lot about the Jet Stream in the news. It's either too far North or too far South. The jet stream is identified as winds at 300mb (during Winter) and 200mb (during Summer). It is these winds which are responsible for driving and developing weather systems across the Atlantic.
