This page displays the latest synoptic charts from the nice people at the UK Met Office.

These charts display the forecast synoptic patterns including isobars and frontal systems out to 120 hours ahead and are updated twice a day. They are the bread 'n butter diet of any meteorologist and our are updated once a day.

To play/pause or scroll through the images simply hover your mouse button over the image.

A problem shared is a problem halved. But Metcheck is never a problem...

FAX charts are based on the Met Office Global model forecast, however they are manually adjusted by human forecasters when considered necessary in order to overcome known biases, error in model initialisation data as well as other results from global models such as the GFS.
