Author: Iain Date: 11/03/2009 11:57:43 PM Report: Hello folks. Another cold day today in Walsall. Rain overnight died out before 0800 hrs, then a fairly cloudy morning with showers and brief sunny intervals. Went up to Stone (between Stoke and Stafford) for lunch with friends, the afternoon was better, dry with sunny spells, but on the way there there were some huge shower-clouds piling up in the distance. Got stuck for an hour and a half on the M6 coming home, so ample time to observe a pleasant sunset. Arriving home it looked like there had been a recent shower, but the evening has stayed dry with clear spells. Full moon shining. Now: wind SW force 1-2: cloud 4/8 As/Cu: barometer 984 mb, falling (first time I've looked at the barometer today, didn't realise it was so low). 16.2C in the study. JIM I have got into the non-scientific observations too, nearly splashed out £12 on a weather station in Lidl but then realised it only told me the outdoor temperature. It must be late but I can't think what is the AGW that the Americans no longer believe in? Al Gore Warming? Good night all, Iain |
