Not a bad day in Walsall today, dry all day with some sunny intervals. Very windy, force 5-7 most of the day but a little calmer now. Clouded over now, looks like some rain soon.
Hello folks. Walsall had quite a good day on Tuesday, dry for the most part witrh sunny spells, then a very light shower around 1700 hrs, followed by a dry evening with clear spells but then another, slightly heavier, shower around 2200 hrs.
Despite the forecasters continually crowing about the mild temperatures it has felt quite chilly today in the wind. Hope RAINLADY and other Lancs/NW friends (and everyone) are OK in the forecast deluge.
Hello everyone. The early heavy rain cleared by 0830 to give sunny intervals and showers. These were quite prolonged and heavy during the afternoon but have cleared up tonight to give clear spells. It has felt quite chilly in the wind today, and the wind has been stronger this evening, can hear it whistling and roaring around the house at times.
Good afternoon from Walsall. We had some heavy rain at first, massive puddles everywhere. It cleared around 0830 hours and gave way to a regime of sunny intervals and showers. An hour ago the sky was mostly blue but now it's grey and wet once more. Feels quite cool out in the blustery wind, guesstimate about 11C.
Now: wind SW force 3 to force 5: cloud 8/8 Sc: barometer 995 mb, rising.
Good evening all. Quite a good day today in Walsall, dry all day with sunny spells and varying amounts of cloud, mostly mid-level to high clouds. Tonight was clear at first but a veil of cloud has now spread from the south.
Now: wind S force 1-2: cloud 6/8 Ac/St: barometer 1001 mb, now falling.
Very unsettled week ahead once more, it seems - but very mild, thank goodness.
Hello folks. Cloudy all day here in Walsall, some light rain between 1245 and 1315, then the rain set in just after 1430, becoming moderate to heavy at times and quite persistent. Still raining just now. It got very windy for a time between about 1930 and 2130 hours but has calmed down a bit at the moment.
Now: wind S force 4, gusting force 6: cloud 8/8 St: barometer 984 mb, still falling.
Miserable night, glad I don't have to be out in it. Take care all,
Not very pleasant here in west brom. Highest gust so far is 40mph. Just watching Mastermind instead of going out clubbing and witnessed an idiot trying to answer questions on ANGELS! What a flippin' stupid subject, suffice to say he scored 2 points.
Hello again. Since I last reported we've had further heavy showers, though there isn't much wind at the moment and it's fairly mild. Wind SW force 2: cloud 8/8 St: barometer 992 mb, rising.
We might not know Duncan's conservatory temperature but here in the study it's gone down to 19.6C (the engineer was in earlier getting some of the radiators to work and he'd turned the thermostat up to 25C - phew!)
Sorry to hear the bowling was cancelled ENRECO. I've heard that it never rains on the golf course and I thought maybe the bowling green was similar!
Here is a bit of a report from west brom for all those who are dying to know!
Current temp - 10.4c
Wind - ave 5mph SSW
Barometer - 994.6mb steady
Rainfall since midnight - 10.8mm
