A very grey, windy and miserable Thursday morning .... but at least it isn't raining for once. The 100% cloud cover has a pink tinge to it at times. Could indicate that the clouds are not that thick and that the sunshine above is giving it the colour.

Capel Curig has reported wind gust of 76mph. So far it looks like west coast of Wales and SE Ireland are getting the brunt of it.

Aberdaron in NW Wales has reported a gust of 81mph.

Looks like a repeat performance of last saturday's fun'n'games we had on the south coast.

Centre of storm is now out in the North Sea - "goodbye and good ridance!!" It's now very quiet here in Bournemouth. Winds are also now starting to ease up across the south east.

Just been down to my local takeaway and I see a large eucalyptus tree is down further along the road. Will take some pictures in the morning.

Things have really quietened down here in Bournemouth in the past 2 hours.

The centre of the storm is now over the North Yorks Moors and will past out into the North Sea near Whitby in the next hour or so.
