Funny old day. We had one or two sparky showers on our morning walk eventually. The radar shows this strange line that has persisted all day down the same strip of country pretty well. I suspect that about 30 miles to our west and East it’s quite sunny, but it’s stayed cloudy here although we haven’t had any rain this afternoon.

Clearing, more windy than this morning ... and if in sun quite nice, but if in shade quite cool. I see the line of divide creeping down the country from the NE.

"Afternoon". It's been a pleasant day with sunny intervals but there's a few showers around ,one to the South and one to the North west. So far we have remained dry, winds have switched to the South!.

14:00, 14.3C Had couple showers and will probably get some more but got off pretty lightly (nothing measurable so <0.3mm so far) as last band passed mostly to the North of here. Looks like we'll cop some more from the next band but probably not the sustained rain MC and BBC have us down for from 4pm-7pm. Currently got some qute ominous cloud to East but much clearer to West which is complete reversal of 40mins ago 😀 The temp is a bit disappointing a given the sunny periods between clouds/showers and taking it's time to recover after thjem but looks to be a theme for the next week. Tomorrow: Metcheck - sunny/fair, 11C || MetOff - sunny start turning cloudy by lunch, 12C || BBC - sunny/partially cloudy turning cloudy by lunch, 11C || Goog - partly cloudy, 12C

Welcome to the more interactive side of Metcheck. Every day Metcheckers up and down the country tap their barometers, rub their thermometers and submit their weather reports in to us.
If you have any interesting weather where you are right now, or simply fancy telling everyone what it's like outside your window then send in a weather report to us using the form below.
To add a weather report is quick and easy. Simply fill in the form above. You don't have to add all the weather variables if you don't want to, but at least just let us know what the weather is like there.
You will then receive an email allowing you to publish your weather report live on Metcheck.
Once your post is on the site you can edit it by clicking on the blue EDIT button to the bottom right of the post. Note, you can only edit and see these buttons on your own posts and nobody elses.

Whoah! How clever is this? The Metcheck Thunderstorm Tracker Satellite allows you to see the developing storms across Western Europe and tells you whether they are growing or decaying. Every 15 minutes we take a snapshot of the cloud cover then measure the temperature and height of the clouds and show you whether the area of clouds are developing into thunderstorms and what direction they are moving in.

You probably hear a lot about the Jet Stream in the news. It's either too far North or too far South. The jet stream is identified as winds at 300mb (during Winter) and 200mb (during Summer). It is these winds which are responsible for driving and developing weather systems across the Atlantic.
