Good Morning from Honiton. The morning will start with showers, some of which may be quite intense and prolonged, but as the day progresses we will see the emergence of some sunny spells, but these interludes may be interrupted by frequent heavy showers as seen yesterday. The windy conditions will be back, particularly noted in the afternoon with the possibility of coastal gales, which will make it feel cooler once again. Top temperature somewheres around 11°C suggests one needs to keep warm and dry today. Have a awesome day folks. ☕

This will be my 3rd attempt this morning , so apologies if this message shows 3 times !
A better day than yesterday. A fair morning with the sun bursting through around late morning. Temperature of about 10 degrees. Good Friday , so roads shouldn’t be too busy ? A fish 🐠 supper for me later this evening.
Happy Easter 🐣 and have a nice day today.

It's still almost completely cloudy bar for a few small clear areas. Currently drizzling and we have had a fair bit of rain during today on and off. Temp is now 6.8C so not particularly cold. The radar is looking quite a lot clearer to the West now, so shouldn't get much more rain.

Every 15 minutes we take a snapshot of the cloud cover then measure the temperature and height of the clouds and show you whether the area of clouds are developing into thunderstorms and what direction they are moving in.

You probably hear a lot about the Jet Stream in the news. It's either too far North or too far South. The jet stream is identified as winds at 300mb (during Winter) and 200mb (during Summer). It is these winds which are responsible for driving and developing weather systems across the Atlantic.
