There are some light showers close by now with a more decent, possibly thundery one to our north. Last night we had a couple of showers with a thundery one skirting the area at bedtime. A low of 15.6 c not long ago

Good evening folks... Intermittent showers this morning, led into a very pleasant afternoon, with a fair bit of sunshine. The showers have returned this evening but, here in the Mole Valley, we look to be on the periphery.
Similar tomorrow from the looks of things.... G'night all...

Evening all, A reasonable sort of day, plenty of sunny bits, but also lots of cloud around. It was nice in the sunshine, but still a very definite chill to the wind. No rain to speak of, just a couple of spots around early afternoon, think the showers managed to miss us today. Looks like it might be much the same again tomorrow.

Good evening all, it's been typical April showers weather, one minute sunshine, the next heavy showers containing hail and gusty winds. Now it looks to be a chilly night with the clouds clearing and temperatures falling. Enjoy your evening all.

Very mixed weather again. Hail showers from big black clouds at the moment at the same time as sunshine. Got home from work and started in the garden but only lasted an hour then the heavens opened with hail and rain. Ye Gods when is this winter ever going to end.? Minus 1C forecast overnight for here. I'm seriously thinking of selling up and looking for a property somewhere where there is at least a decent summer. I've had enough of freezing my bits off for seven to eight months of the year. π‘

Whoah! How clever is this? The Metcheck Thunderstorm Tracker Satellite allows you to see the developing storms across Western Europe and tells you whether they are growing or decaying. Every 15 minutes we take a snapshot of the cloud cover then measure the temperature and height of the clouds and show you whether the area of clouds are developing into thunderstorms and what direction they are moving in.

You probably hear a lot about the Jet Stream in the news. It's either too far North or too far South. The jet stream is identified as winds at 300mb (during Winter) and 200mb (during Summer). It is these winds which are responsible for driving and developing weather systems across the Atlantic.
