Conditions here at the moment very quiet. The forecast for today is similar to yesterday. A good spell of sunshine from about 8:30am and continuing throughput the day . A gentle breeze as well around 15 mph . I don’t think it will be as cold as yesterday? Will be great to spend some time on the pots and plants 🪴 and sharpen up the short game on the practice area at ⛳️ club . Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned ?

It is breezy this morning with gusts to 30 mph at times. Clouds are coming and going with the chance of a shower or two ( maybe three or four 😁) A high of 22 c is forecast , maybe the first use of the beany for the year while watching two tough rugby league teams ( under 9/1s) at midday !

18:00, 11.6C Just had another little shower but still hasn't tipped us over to >0.3mm yet , we could well get a few more before it dries up as this last narrow little band seeems to be coming South straight towards us . But the regulasr nearby showers hae pushed the temp back having got close to 15 earlier .

Welcome to the more interactive side of Metcheck. Every day Metcheckers up and down the country tap their barometers, rub their thermometers and submit their weather reports in to us.
If you have any interesting weather where you are right now, or simply fancy telling everyone what it's like outside your window then send in a weather report to us using the form below.
To add a weather report is quick and easy. Simply fill in the form above. You don't have to add all the weather variables if you don't want to, but at least just let us know what the weather is like there.
You will then receive an email allowing you to publish your weather report live on Metcheck.
Once your post is on the site you can edit it by clicking on the blue EDIT button to the bottom right of the post. Note, you can only edit and see these buttons on your own posts and nobody elses.

Whoah! How clever is this? The Metcheck Thunderstorm Tracker Satellite allows you to see the developing storms across Western Europe and tells you whether they are growing or decaying. Every 15 minutes we take a snapshot of the cloud cover then measure the temperature and height of the clouds and show you whether the area of clouds are developing into thunderstorms and what direction they are moving in.

You probably hear a lot about the Jet Stream in the news. It's either too far North or too far South. The jet stream is identified as winds at 300mb (during Winter) and 200mb (during Summer). It is these winds which are responsible for driving and developing weather systems across the Atlantic.
