The sun may be shining but it is a bitingly cold wind. Seemingly a feel like of 5 degrees- feels colder than that to me. So,we’ve all been wishing for sunshine and assuming that that would mean it was warm! How wrong can you be!

back in surrey i realise that at 11c it is the warmest day since last saturday
everyday since has failed to get above 10 c
heavy rain on the coast this morning at 7 am marred the preceedings today
a pretty grim day considering back home in surrey its been bone dry all morning....
abysmal..... at least its warmer!

Drizzle has started now. It's been black as night over bill's mothers so I quickly cracked on and mowed front lawn. But no rain. Lucky. Drizzling now but I'm inside. Hope your ewe has eened Heather. Or ... lambed ... can't find the word we used to use in search engine.

Recorded the forecast from radio Lancashire to make some notes of what could be expected to happen.
Not long now until the hurricane season starts.

The morning was cloudy with a couple of very light showers but it is brighter now with some sunny intervals and current temperature is 8C
Wind is very light from a NW direction
Pressure is falling and visibility is good at around 30 miles
There will be well scattered light showers today, tonight will be mostly clear, tomorrow will have more in the way of showers, perhaps some heavy

Good morning, all, it’s cold and grey with some sharp showers passing over, windchill 0°c. Lambs out in the field are running around (perhaps keeping warm 😊), the next batch will have to stay inside- they’re a bit crammed in and sharing water buckets etc but they won’t be out as scheduled today. MO seem to have gone overboard with the heavy rain forecast for most of the day, MC a bit kinder! Just in for a quick bite of toast, been watching a ewe get ready to lamb since 4 am, she needs to get a move on now!

CW, text from granddaughter who has sent a new report from Cronulla beach for ANZAC Day, she’s working at Cronulla rsl, first meal booked for 6.30 am.

There is complete cloud cover and the breeze is very chilly. The overnight rain has passed through leaving the grass too wet again to cut, at this rate I shall need to borrow a couple of sheep to eat it. Like everyone I could do with some warm weather - the only indication that we have moved from winter to spring is that the trees are in leaf !!
