With the report of :Fairly quiet night, and very still this morning. Storm Brian arriving about 1pm. I've renamed it because I don't know how to pronounce Boleo, or Boloe, or Bolero or whatever it is! I'm in the yellow warning zone.

Glad Anne et al survived the onslaught of the very severe winds earlier today, it must have been pretty frightening Here in Nr Ireland it was much calmer and wet for a time this morning but the rain cleared away by noon to give quite a sunny afternoon and the evening is clear Max day temperature was 9C, current temperature is 6C Wind is light to moderate from a W direction Pressure is falling and visibility is moderate to good Overnight will be clear and chilly at first but wind and rain will arrive by morning, the severity of which we will just have to wait and see but warnings have been issued

As with you all I'm sure, it's been an interesting day weather wise. The good news is that it wasn't as bad as was forecast for us...maximum wind gust 33mph with no damage in the surrounding area. The 18mm of rain was well received!! Glad to hear positive reports from the rest of you ...Storm Boelo is on its way which, by the look of things, is going to give us a very wet day. Have a good evening everyone.
