If you have a query regarding data on the site then please send full URLs of the pages which you mean in the contact form so we can check the same page.

Metcheck operating days are Monday and Tuesdays only. Feedback sent on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday will receive a reply on Monday.

Please also note that Metcheck is aimed at the weather enthusiast, numerical weather modelling and meteorological community and have no interest in general public forecasts via the local or national media.

We do not issue bespoke forecasts or provide commentary on weather related events.

Please bear in mind our engineers and extra members of the team are working hard on fixing any bugs or issues with the new site version. If you have a comment, then please contact us with as much info as possible including browser and operating system and what you clicked on or entered to find the bug.

Because Metcheck is not always manned due to available part time staff it means that we only use email for correspondence. Because our services are not aimed at the general public, this also means we can answer queries quicker as we are not held up by public requests for personal weather forecasts.

You probably hear a lot about the Jet Stream in the news. It's either too far North or too far South. The jet stream is identified as winds at 300mb (during Winter) and 200mb (during Summer). It is these winds which are responsible for driving and developing weather systems across the Atlantic.
