It was feeling a bit muggy overnight with the window being opened to let some fresh air in . Anyway the humidity was well up and we have woken ( actually slept in this morning ) , to a foggy start. A low temperature of 8.4 c and as I write , it is trying to brighten up !

Good morning. It’s a dull and dreary start to the day.began to drizzle with rain about 5 minutes ago. It’s feeling mild at 15 degrees with a breeze from the south west. Looks like remaining mostly cloudy with maybe some more showers this afternoon.

Morning all. Well, that was some night! The road outside had turned into a mini river at one point.Thankgoodness the council had come round 3 weeks ago and emptied the soakaways at the sides of the road. They hadn’t been done in at least 3 years, some had saplings growing out of them! I weeded mine! I did try to lift the grate so that I could try and remove all the silt and debris etc,but it was stuck fast! No trains running today between Kyle of Lochalsh and Inverness due to flooding- surprised not more areas affected. Nature is certainly balancing out all the weeks of no rain!

Whoah! How clever is this? The Metcheck Thunderstorm Tracker Satellite allows you to see the developing storms across Western Europe and tells you whether they are growing or decaying. Every 15 minutes we take a snapshot of the cloud cover then measure the temperature and height of the clouds and show you whether the area of clouds are developing into thunderstorms and what direction they are moving in.

You probably hear a lot about the Jet Stream in the news. It's either too far North or too far South. The jet stream is identified as winds at 300mb (during Winter) and 200mb (during Summer). It is these winds which are responsible for driving and developing weather systems across the Atlantic.
